HERE IS VERY RARE & BEAUTIFUL 1870-1880's ERA CHARLES MISSENHARTER NEW YORK, CORNET/TRUMPET!
IT STILL HAS IT'S ORIGINAL MUTE, LYRE (MUSIC HOLDER), AN EXTRA PIECE OF TUBING & CASE. BOTH THE MUTE & MOUTHPIECE ARE MARKED "MISSENHARTER N.Y."!
HAS BEAUTIFUL ETCHING OF LAUREL LEAFS & A BOW AND IS INSCRIBED WITH THE FOLLOWING:

THE SERIAL NUMBER "6483" DATES THIS TO THE 1870's-1880's ERA!
IT WAS MOUNTED ON A CLEAR PLEXIGLAS STAND BY THE FAMILY OF THE ORIGINAL OWNER ABOUT 25-30 YEARS AGO, AND IT HAS BEEN KEPT POLISHED & DISPLAYS BEAUTIFULLY!
(OVERALL STILL IN VERY NICE ANTIQUE SHAPE, HAS SLIGHT SPLIT TO WHERE MOUTH PIECE GOES IN (SEE PHOTOS), MIDDLE VALVE STICKS A BIT, HOWEVER BOTH 1ST & 3RD SEEM TO WORK NICELY, ORIGINAL CASE SHOWS WEAR & HAS SOME CHIPPING/LIFTING TO LEATHER IN A FEW SPOTS ON OUTSIDE, INSIDE IN NICE ANTIQUE SHAPE, BUT NEEDS A GOOD CLEANING (SEE PHOTOS FOR ACTUAL CONDITION)
IT COULD EASILY BE REMOVED FROM THE STAND & HAVE THE DENTS FIXED AND THIS COULD BE A PRETTY NICE PLAYER IF THE NEW OWNER DESIRED.
